The Independent Hotel Show, in partnership with James Hallam, the UK’s only trade event dedicated to the boutique and independent hotel sector, has been shortlisted in the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards, taking place on 16 June. at Grosvenor House. 

The 2022 edition of the event is a finalist in the ‘Best UK Trade Show between 2,001sqm - 4,000sqm’ category alongside trade events for industries including big data, retail tech, security and design.  

The AEO Excellence Awards were launched to represent the best that the events industry has to offer and showcase the amazing achievements from within the industry.  

The illustrious event recognises and celebrates organisers’ achievements, standards of excellence from venues and service quality by suppliers and contractors. 

This year the awards saw record entries and four new categories including Best DEI Initiative and Best Company Initiative – both of which Independent Hotel Show’s parent company Montgomery Group was shortlisted for.   

In addition, Independent Hotel Show’s sister event Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam was shortlisted in the highly competitive ‘Best International Show – Europe’ category.
