The Institute of Hospitality (IoH) is the global, award-winning, professional body for the hospitality industry.

Established in 1938 and operating as a registered UK charity, we deliver continued professional development and lifelong learning across our diverse, international hospitality family, from students to industry leaders.

Joining the Institute allows our members to proudly celebrate their professional qualifications and experience and gain career recognition amongst their peers.

The Institute continues to evolve from its distinguished UK heritage to an invigorated, innovative membership body offering thought leadership, unlimited and exceptional networking events and career support.

Our member resources include world-class mentoring; over 250 online courses through our IoH Academy; access to our IoH e-library; a monthly podcast; membership newsletter and magazine, discounts and privileges, an active social media community and hundreds of live networking events and online CPD webinars.

You can join as an individual, business, or as an educational institution. Educationalists can enrol all their hospitality students as part of their membership and enhance students’ access to a professional environment to help kick-start their careers at graduation.

Working with us, our selected Business Partners provide much-needed support by helping us deliver some incredible events and initiatives.  

Helping to provide a hospitality career lifeline, our IoH Funded Membership scheme provides opportunities to those who would like to join the IoH but are unable due to their financial circumstances.

We are passionate about our members, our people and the industry, and we are currently pursuing our aspiration of Chartered Status.
